Elise and Jacob

Elise & Jacob - March 1st, 2025

We are so excited to celebrate with you, in person and in spirit, and are grateful you’re considering coming to our wedding!

Jacob and I met in the fall of 2016 at a meeting of the University of North Dakota Aerobatics Team. We were friends throughout college, although no romance started until after college when we graduated and moved to Florida for our careers. Jacob was living in Orlando and commuting to Chicago for Skywest, while I was in Vero Beach working for Piper. Occasionally we would spend time together – going flying, jetskiing, watching rocket launches, and practicing unicycles.

We went on our first actual date on March 4, 2020. Since then we’ve been to 33 different states, a few cross-country road trips and a lot of random adventures!

Jacob proposed on September 8th, 2023. It was a Friday evening, after work, and he suggested that we go hike Stack Rock. Stack Rock is our favorite hike in Idaho so far – and extra special because it was the first hike we did together back in 2020. Clueless as I am, I still wondered what was going on when he had a full-on backpacking backpack ready for our little day hike. Along the hike, Jacob was more talkative than normal. When we got to the top, he started unloading his backpack for our picnic and then suddenly asked me to take over. I pulled a bottle of champagne out of the backpack, turned around to ask what was going on, and found Jacob on one knee with the ring out! I got so excited, I almost knocked the ring out of his hands… Oops! He had some really sweet words and made me happy-cry for the first time in my life. Obviously – I said yes.

We are really excited to host everyone in Boise – we have loved living here for the past few years. It’s a fun city of a manageable size and we think you’ll love visiting! The Boise Train Depot has a great view of downtown and the mountains that surround the Treasure Valley – it’s 10 minutes from the airport, walking distance to downtown, and has lots of places to stay near by!

We look forward to seeing you all in March!
